Artists take to the streets for Plein Aire competition
The Downer Avenue Merchant's Association and the League of Milwaukee Artists will take art to the streets and into the fresh air. Beginning Saturday, artists will be painting outdoors for the 2007 Downer Avenue Plein Aire Painting Competition.

New Land Enterprises reveals possible future plans for Downer Avenue
Four vacancies on the Downer Avenue strip is intimidating, but Milwaukee's New Land Enterprises has a vision for the future of Downer Avenue that would potentially work to fill those holes pretty quickly, as well as add new residential options.

Downer Avenue welcomes Milwaukee's first Original Pancake House
Joe and Pam DeRosa of the DeRosa Corp. will open an Original Pancake House in the old Coffee Trader space at 2625 N. Downer Ave in 2006.
