Daily dish: Mashed potatoes and turnips with sautéed onions and greens
Just before the summer season this year, we committed to joining a local CSA, which stands for community supported agriculture. We chose Pinehold Gardens, a 21-acre CSA farm in Oak Creek. For the past 18 weeks we have received hearty vegetable shares, the contents of which shift with the changing harvesting season.

Daily dish: Azmi Alaeddin's lentil soup
Azmi Alaeddin held a cooking class at the Milwaukee Public Market during which he revealed his lentil soup recipe and, after demonstrating his process, sent his students away with their own copies of the ingredients. His is among the best I've ever tasted, and I have to admit that my own copy-cat version has been known to impress the occasional dinner guest. I'm happy to share the secret with you during OnMilwaukee.com's Dining Month.
