Five questions for rapper Kid Millions
Local rapper Kid Millions -- better known to some as John Kuester, co-owner of Lotus Land Records in Riverwest -- has just unleashed the record of the Milwaukee summer. "Victim to the Beat," co-written with Codebreaker's Sage Schwarm, is a fun and breezy retro hip-hop dancefest with a sound that will send you running for your old Sugar Hill Records 12"s -- or at least the first Tom Tom Club CD.

Codebreaker celebrates summer with "Follow Me"
Codebreaker celebrates the arrival of summer with a new 12" called "Follow Me," on its own Disco Demolition Records. The disc is the first in what front man Steven Hawley promises will be a "whole host of collaborations, remixes from and for some of dance music's most exciting, tasteful artists."

Kings Go Forth build sound on years of experience
Kings Go Forth is a band that seems to have come out of nowhere, getting noticed before even playing its first gig in Milwaukee and nabbing a pile of 88Nine Milwaukee music awards. But don't be fooled, most of these guys have been involved in the Milwaukee music scene for years.

Milwaukee's electro-funk duo Codebreaker teams with London dance diva Kathy Diamond for "Fire," a new 12" single on Disco Demolition Records. The record is the label's first release and is available from Oct. 7. But you can hear it now online.
