Brewers to Dale Sveum: "Thanks, but no thanks."
The Brewers announced a trio of moves tonight. They gave general manager Doug Melvin a three-year contract extension that will keep him in Milwaukee through 2012, removed Dale Sveum from consideration for the manager's job and dismissed hitting coach Jim Skaalen. Melvin continues his search for a manager and experience could be a key factor in the decision.
