Kudos to Crew for sweeping changes, but too little too late
The news releases from the Brewers are pouring out fast and furiously today. In the last two hours, I learned the Brewers fired Bill Castro as pitching coach, shipped J.J. Hardy to the minors and designated Bill Hall for assignment.

Saturday Scorecard: Not time to overthrow Castro
The Brewers pitching staff is a complete disaster, so it's not a surprise that people are turning their attention to the department head, Bill Castro. Given the collection of mediocre, Class AAA arms at his disposal for most of this season, Castro's chances of success in his debut season seemed minimal. He doesn't deserve to be fired. But, that doesn't mean that he won't.
