Another Dining Month at OnMilwaukee.com has come to an end and we hope you enjoyed it. Almost 2,500 ballots were cast this year in our fifth annual Best of Milwaukee Dining readers survey. Here's a recap of the 2011 winners, along with the choices of the OnMilwaukee.com editorial staff.
It's five years and counting for Maharaja, which once again was your choice for Milwaukee's best Indian cuisine. What's not to like? The menu has something from everyone, including your favorite lunch buffet, with spicy and mild offerings, meaty and vegetarian choices and all at a pretty good value.
By no means am I a "foodie." However, I do believe that I have a decent "working man's" palate and that I can easily discern between McDonald's and Kopp's. Since OnMilwaukee.com takes the month of October to discuss the many wonderful places to eat around Milwaukee, I'm going to do a completely unofficial and unendorsed blog about my favorite places.
Comfort food may be different things to different people but everybody can agree that it lives up to its name. And most of you agreed that Maxie's Southern Comfort does comfort food best.
