Dealing Fielder could finance a championship
The Brewers are no longer scraping the financial barrel in baseball, but still wouldn't be wise to spend as much as a quarter of their payroll -- or more -- to keep Prince Fielder for the long term. And by trading him for a large package of players, the team could wind up with the necessary pieces for a legitimate title run.
