An era ends next week when the local legend retires after more than 25 years as part of the morning team at WKTI (94.5 FM). Reitman, who turns 65 soon, isn't leaving radio forever; he'll start a new weekly show on WUWM early next year.

WUWM temporarily promotes Atwater
WUWM-FM has added Jason Atwater to its news team during Anna Panoka's leave of absence. Panoka is on a leave of absence to pursue an international fellowship in Mongolia. Atwater has been at the station since January working as a news producer/reporter. His promotion is being called temporary.

For the fourth year in a row, OMC is accepting submissions for its Milwaukee Poetry Contest. All poems must be about Milwaukee or include the word "Milwaukee" and poems will be accepted via e-mail through Sept. 26.
