No-frills Bar None caters to anyone and everyone
Water Street's newest watering hole is a small, no-frills bar that prides itself on the basics: stiff drinks, good atmosphere and great customer service. Since opening four weeks ago, general manager Amy Bladow has seen her business improve steadily and is hoping to make her establishment as much of a Water Street legacy as her well-known neighbors.

City takes measures to alleviate "problem bars"
From the larger venues on Water Street to the tiny spots on residential corners, bars and taverns are an integral -- some might even go as far as to say indispensable -- part of Milwaukee's cultural identity. But, the picture is not always positive. At different times and in different neighborhoods, establishments can become what the city refers to as "problem taverns." The city has a brochure telling residents how to deal with them.

Water Buffalo is fun and kitchy and the food is good, too
Multiple visits to Water Buffalo yielded good results; while not every item on the menu we sampled was something we would order again, Water Buffalo's strength is their location, atmosphere and the unique architectural design.
