Bucketworks finds new start with new home
Bucketworks has been repeatedly misinterpreted as an arts collective, a co-op for creatives, a community arts center. Director James Carlson has a better way of putting it.

Jake's Women
I auditioned for the part of Jake in the Neil Simon play, "Jake's Women" at Sunset Playhouse last week. Didn't get the part but you ought to put the play on your calendar. It's one of Simon's lesser-known works, but has lots of laughs.

Pabst team puts a new shine on the Riverside
The Riverside, one of Milwaukee's oldest theaters -- it opened in 1928 -- has hosted top-notch acts like Judy Garland, Abbott and Costello and, in 1940, Frank Sinatra. It's now getting another lease on life, thanks to the same team that runs the nearby Pabst Theater.

Village Playhouse brews up award-winning acts
The Village Playhouse of Wauwatosa does more than just put on an act. It offers a dramatic voyage bound for success. Its production of "Two Rooms" won this year's Wisconsin Association of Community Theatre's biannual AACTFest competition in February.
