Plenty of blame to go around for Packers struggles
At 4-4, the Packers are far from out of playoff competition. But at the same time, Green Bay is far from being a legitimate contender. There's plenty of reasons and plenty of blame to go around, but ultimately, the root of the problems can be found on the sideline and inside the big, corner office at 1265 Lombardi Ave.

Packers add toughness, defense to roster in draft
The Packers' objectives in the draft, murky beforehand, came into focus over the weekend. General manager Ted Thompson added eight players -- three on offense and five on defense. The acquisitions, which included first-round picks B.J. Raji (pictured) and Clay Matthews of USC, show that new defensive coordinator Dom Capers is serious about upgrading a run defense that was horrible in '08.

Betting on Rodgers pays off for Packers' brass
The Packers were right. Aaron Rodgers can play. To have this front office in Green Bay right now, without the overbearing presence of a single, mega-millionaire owner, is a blessing most Packers fans don't appreciate.
