Best Marquette bar, 2009: Sobelman's Pub & Grill
A year ago, Sobelman's Pub and Grill finished a close second to Murphy's Irish Pub in OnMilwaukee's balloting for Best Marquette Bar. This year, the roles are reversed. Owners Dave and Melanie Sobelman have courted business from Marquette students and alums for nearly a decade, serving cold beer and good food in a clean, cozy former Schlitz tavern at 1900 W. St. Paul Ave.
