Stumblesome crashes into Borg Ward with new CD
Rapper Wesley Charles Tank is a one-man band these days, but he continues to perform and record under the name Stumblesome. Recently, Tank started a record label, released his seventh CD and will gig at the Borg Ward on Monday, Dec. 7 with Evolve, Peter J. Woods and Jim Schoenecker from Collections of Colonies of Bees and Volcano Choir.

Czarnik released her first CD, "Strawberry Cadillac," last summer, and her love for Milwaukee is crystal clear throughout the 17-song collection. She performs with the Eric Mire Band on May 9 at Stonefly Brewing Co.

There was a time when the black community in Milwaukee was a much safer, family friendly place. I grew up just south of Capitol Drive a few blocks from Rufus King High. I remember when we could leave our front door open at night; we weren’t concerned with burglars.
