An awesome atmosphere
The Brewers didn't win and their playoff run came to a grinding halt at Miller Park on Sunday, but, nonetheless, the atmosphere in the stadium was amazing and the thunderous crowd rattled the closed roof.

NLDS Game 4 Recap: Phillies 6, Brewers 2
So ends the ride ... Jeff Suppan failed to deliver in the type of situation the Brewers signed him to handle. He surrendered three home runs in a three-inning effort. The Milwaukee bats failed to show up once again and the end result was a 6-2 loss to Philadelphia in Game 4 of the National League Division Series at Miller Park. Veteran Suppan seeks to extend Brewers' season
Jeff Suppan came to Milwaukee with a reputation as a "big game" pitcher. He'll get a chance to live up to that billing when he starts Game 4 of the National League Division Series against Philadelphia Sunday afternoon at Miller Park. The Brewers trail the best-of-five series, 2-1. A victory will force a decisive game Tuesday night in Philadelphia.

NLDS Notebook: Patience pays off for slumping bats
Discipline and patience haven't been hallmarks of the Brewers' offense this season. Against Philadelphia lefty Jamie Moyer, those two virtues paid off as the Brewers rattled off 11 hits and stayed alive in the National League Division Series with a 4-1 victory at Miller Park.

Saturday Scorecard: History in the making
Two games into their first playoff run in 26 years and facing the threat of elimination in Game 3 against Philadelphia, the Brewers found themselves talking about 1982. Though they respect franchise history, they'd like to forge an identity of their own. Bench coach Robin Yount, a key figure on the '82 team, wants to help.

FSN Wisconsin's Jeff Cirillo's views on Game 2
CC Sabathia didn't pitch badly in Game 2, but the Phillies did a good job of capitalizing on his mistakes. The Brewers, meanwhile, continue to show a lack of patience and Philadelphia right-hander Brett Myers capitalized.

Was CC worth the price?
Barring a miraculous turnaround, CC Sabathia is unlikely to make another start as a Brewer. After flat-out dominating the NL for three months, he melted down in the NLDS at Philly. So was he worth giving up two top prospects? You be the judge.

Reader poll
Would you rather suffer through a December of sub-zero temperatures and blizzards or a first-round playoff loss at the hands of Brett Favre?
I'll take the Ice Age and a Packers win.
I'd rather see the Packers lose to Favre so I can stay warm.
This is like choosing the least painful way to die.
