Fans get their kicks watching soccer at local bars
When ESPN reached a deal to broadcast English Premier League games this year, skeptics wondered if attendance would dip during weekend mornings at soccer pubs like Carleton Grange, The Highbury and The Nomad World Pub. On the contrary, business seems to be booming. If some fans may choose to stay home, they can be replaced by new fans exposed to the game on the "Worldwide Leader in Sports."

But, The Nomad World Pub is one of the longer-lived and more beloved places on the street, where it has anchored the corner of Brady and Warren for more than a dozen years.

The food is solid, but service languid at Centraal
Café Centraal, 2306 S. Kinnickinnic Ave., the Diablos Rojos restaurant group's fourth and newest venue, has been open just shy of a month and a half now, and the restaurant's popularity seems to continue to grow as the days pass. The food here is already solid and consistent.
