I.D. needed to shop, but not to vote?
I'm not here to argue the pros and cons of Mayfair's new I.D. policy. But, I can't help but wonder why an 18 year-old now has to show an i.d. to shop but still doesn't have to vote for any elected office in our City or Country.

With a little patience, outlets can dish up bargains galore
It's all about luck. Don't expect your size to be there or see that fashion on a glossy magazine spread next (or even last) month. If you can incorporate patience and diligence into your shopping trip you will likely unearth a bargain.

Reader poll
Would you rather suffer through a December of sub-zero temperatures and blizzards or a first-round playoff loss at the hands of Brett Favre?
I'll take the Ice Age and a Packers win.
I'd rather see the Packers lose to Favre so I can stay warm.
This is like choosing the least painful way to die.
