LPGA event could get Milwaukee tourney out of trap
The U.S. Bank Championship has lost some luster over the years -- not that it had a whole lot in the first place. Now that the title sponsor is leaving, local organizers should think about courting an LPGA event to bring up-and-coming stars like Natalie Gulbis (pictured) to town.

Some new international sporting rules; thanks LPGA
Since the LPGA is an American organization, I won't argue its language policy. However, I will suggest that it work both ways.

Pretty in Pink: LPGA's Paula Creamer
Meet Paula Creamer, the LPGA's next superstar. She's a teenager with a Madison Avenue smile. She's a prom date dream, and the apple of any dad's eye. Her game is flawless. Her attitude, fearless. She'll talk trash, and then back it up.

Annika's gender bender
There's no doubt, Annika Sorenstam is head and shoulders above the other 124 best professional women golfers on the planet. But if you run the math, you'll see more than twice as many men scrambling to get into the Top 125 on their tour, than the ladies. Ergo: the PGA Tour is showcasing the cream of a much deeper talent crop than the LPGA.

Reader poll
Would you rather suffer through a December of sub-zero temperatures and blizzards or a first-round playoff loss at the hands of Brett Favre?
I'll take the Ice Age and a Packers win.
I'd rather see the Packers lose to Favre so I can stay warm.
This is like choosing the least painful way to die.
