Green Bay Replay: Packers 27, Ravens 14
The wind was blowing and the penalty flags were flying during "Monday Night Football" at Lambeau Field. The Packers and Ravens combined for 23 penalties and seven turnovers as the Packers improved to 8-4 and moved a step closer to securing a playoff berth.

Green Bay replay: Packers 30, 49ers 24
After dominating the first half, running back Ryan Grant (pictured) and the Packers hung on to beat San Francisco Sunday afternoon at Lambeau Field. The victory was overshadowed, though, by injuries to cornerback Al Harris and linebacker Aaron Kampman. Harris suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament and will be lost for the season.

Packers point: In victory, Favre proves he's the one
If there is anybody left who thinks that the 2009 Packers, or the 2008 Packers, or maybe even the 2010 Packers are better with Aaron Rodgers than Brett Favre, let them stand up and be counted, on the fingers of one hand. There is no longer a shadow of doubt. One is a classy, savvy expert with a full house, aces over jacks. The other is sitting at the table with a pair of sixes and not much bluff.

Packers counterpoint: Quarterback isn't the problem
Brett Favre was practically brilliant on Sunday. Aaron Rodgers was merely good. To simply say, "Favre beat Rodgers" is simplistic and borderline ridiculous. The Vikings beat the Packers. Quarterback play was a component, but not the major one. A number of problems were revealed during the Packers' defeat, but quarterback play isn't near the top half of the list.

"Live" blog: Vikings 38, Packers 26
He did it again. Brett Favre, backed by a superior supporting cast and aided by home team miscues, guided his team to victory in his much-anticipated return to Lambeau Field.

Green Bay Replay: Packers 26, Lions 0
As is often the case, the scoreboard doesn't tell the whole story. The Packers won the game comfortably, but their performance was anything but pristine.

A closer look at the Packers-Vikings rivalry
For years, networks have fawned over the Packers-Bears rivalry, giving it glamorous titles like "most storied" and "bitter." While there's no doubting the history between the two teams, it's the Minnesota Vikings that might be that bigger rival for the Packers and their fans ... even before Brett Favre made things messier.

Green Bay Replay: Packers 21, Bears 15
The giddiness that permeated the Packers' preseason gave way to the bruising reality of the regular season. Fortunately for coach Mike McCarthy and a sellout crowd of 70,920, quarterback Aaron Rodgers hooked up with wide receiver Greg Jennings for a touchdown with 1 minute, 11 seconds left that erased a handful of mistakes and left the home team feeling good about its prospects for 2009.

Packers a hot pick in NFC North
When the Packers opened their 2009 training camp, there sure were a lot of questions. Now, with just hours before the season opener against the Bears at Lambeau Field, many think that a trip to Miami for Super Bowl XLIV is a very realistic probability. Funny what a 3-1 preseason can do for experts and oddsmakers.

Green Bay Packers training camp guide: 2009
The Packers' training camp opens Saturday and runs through Sept. 1 as the team prepares for its regular season opener -- a nationally televised "Sunday Night Football" matchup against Chicago Sept. 13 at Lambeau. Thousands make the pilgrimage to Green Bay each year to watch practices, which this year take place for the first time at Ray Nitschke Field.

Saturday Scorecard: Close call hurts Brewers, but...
Mark DiFelice's pitch to Jake Fox sure looked like a strike. Although the Brewers lost the game on the walk-off walk that resulted from it, they have to accept the fact that they squandered a boatload of scoring opportunities earlier in the game.

Packers, fans ready to get caught up in the draft
Given the rampant popularity of the National Football League, particularly the franchise that plays in Green Bay, the adage in local media circles has long held that "you can never give them too much news about the Packers." The NFL Draft tests that theory. Few events in sports generate the type of saturation coverage that accompanies the NFL Draft, which will be held this weekend.

Reader poll
Would you rather suffer through a December of sub-zero temperatures and blizzards or a first-round playoff loss at the hands of Brett Favre?
I'll take the Ice Age and a Packers win.
I'd rather see the Packers lose to Favre so I can stay warm.
This is like choosing the least painful way to die.
