Waukesha's thirst for lake water raises questions
No political or environmental question in this region has gotten more attention in the last few years than the City of Waukesha's desire to pipe in Lake Michigan water. A diversion to a community like Waukesha that is entirely outside the Great Lakes Basin is permissible under certain conditions laid out in a 2008 agreement with the seven other Great Lakes states and two Canadian provinces.

Sunday Sound-off: Do you swim at Bradford Beach?
In the past couple years, many improvements were made at Milwaukee's Bradford Beach, resulting in cleaner sand, expanded food and drink options and a full slate full slate of events. However, do you find the water clean enough for swimming or is the lake only enjoyable from a distance?

A well-timed, or poorly timed, e-mail?
The other day, my kid asked if we could go to the beach and I said, "sure, but let's go this weekend, since I have to work today." This morning there was an e-mail in my inbox with this subject line, "Hitting the beach this weekend? Think twice."
