Brewers Notebook: Weeks is out for the season
Second baseman Rickie Weeks, who has provided a spark at the top of the Brewers' lineup this season, will undergo season-ending surgery to repair a torn sheath tendon in his left wrist. The injury, which is similar to one week suffered in 2006, will require a recovery period of four to six months.

Brewers Notebook: Staff proving naysayers wrong

Brewers Notebook: Suppan's slide continues
Jeff Suppan left the field Sunday night to a chorus of boos from the Miller Park crowd after yet another awful outing. Suppan is 0-2 this season with a 12.91 ERA after allowing 11 runs, 11 hits and seven walks to go with two strikeouts. For a team that lacks depth in the rotation and has an untested bullpen, those are brutal numbers ... especially when they come with a price tag of $12 million per season.

NLDS Game 4 Recap: Phillies 6, Brewers 2
So ends the ride ... Jeff Suppan failed to deliver in the type of situation the Brewers signed him to handle. He surrendered three home runs in a three-inning effort. The Milwaukee bats failed to show up once again and the end result was a 6-2 loss to Philadelphia in Game 4 of the National League Division Series at Miller Park. The Phillies advance to face Los Angeles in the NLCS.
