Saturday Scorecard: Weekend starts on down cycle
Left-hander Manny Parra and the Brewers got pounded in the first game of their interleague series with the Twins -- dubbed "The Border Battle" by the Fox Sports Wisconsin crew. Parra's inconsistency is a concern, but Milwaukee may have more pressing problems in the form of J.J. Hardy's back injury and Bill Hall's hitting slump. Oh, and have you heard the news that people drink at the Brewers' home opener? "Inside Edition" tipped us off to that one.

An offensive performance worth shouting about
After sputtering through September and their first two games in the playoffs, the Brewers -- led by leadoff man Mike Cameron (pictured) showed patience at the plate and were rewarded with a 4-1 victory over Philadelphia in Game 3 of the National League Division Series Saturday night at Miller Park.

When the Brewers take fielding practice, Bill Hall moves from third to shortstop to second base and even left field. He'll be doing the same thing once the regular season starts, as the Brewers' Super Sub.

If the new Brewers ownership wants fans to know one thing, it's that they listen. And Thursday night, they demonstrated that they've heard the increasing rumble from fans to bring back the team's old ball and glove logo.

The U.S. Beer Drinking Team and Beer Radio recently announced a national search to select a city for The Beer Hall of Fame. It's no surprise that Milwaukee is one of 26 cities being considered.
