Busing issues in Milwaukee Public Schools always get the big headlines -- sometimes too big. Take, for instance, a recent banner announcing a new plan for MPS that would reduce "massive busing," a plan envisioned by new School Board member Michael Bonds.

Table play increases in casino battle royale
The Menominee tribe -- which wants to build a Kenosha casino, with the help of a Connecticut tribe -- formed a front group, "Casino Competition for Wisconsin,” countering an already-active campaign by the Potawatomi of Milwaukee.

Latest political alias? The Realtors
The barrage of political issue ads from front groups of major political players continues this week as the Wisconsin Realtors Association debuted its new alias, the Wisconsin Homeowners Alliance. It’s target: Gov. Doyle’s proposed increase in the real estate transfer fee.
