Don't like the Brewers' "swagger?" Then beat 'em
The Brewers, despite making the playoffs last year and shooting to first place in the NL Central this season, aren't exactly making friends and impressing people. They've been called showboaters, show-offs, cocky and arrogant. There's a simple way for teams to put an end to this behavior ... they can beat the Brewers.

What's the big deal with Braun?
I can't figure out what all of the hubbub over the behavior of Ryan Braun is all about. Seriously, is he the first guy to watch some of his home runs? Is it really any different than Sammy Sosa hopping out of the box every time he even hit a ball out of the infield?

Brewers Notebook: Time for a little breather
After playing 20 games in 20 days, the Brewers took Monday off. They've been one of the hottest teams in baseball during that stretch, posting a 14-6 mark, thanks to a settled bullpen, effective starting pitching and an offensive attack sparked by Ryan Braun.

Saturday Scorecard: A victory worth wagging about
Ryan Braun's homer in the eighth inning against Chicago Friday night at Miller Park was both dramatic and familiar. The blast, which was similar in tone to the one he hit on against the Cubs on the final day of the 2009 regular season, lifted the Brewers to a 3-2 victory over their rivals before a sellout crowd. But, some of the smaller plays were pivotal, too.

A look back at Gokey's visit to Miller Park
"American Idol" hopeful Danny Gokey capped off his day back home Friday with a trip to Miller Park, where he threw out a ceremonial first pitch and sang the national anthem before the Brewers took on the Chicago Cubs. OnMilwaukee.com contributing photographer Julie Wagner's photo gallery documents his appearance -- which ended with a 3-2 Brewers victory.

Weeks' improved play makes Brewers' day
No current Brewers player has taken more grief over the last year than Rickie Weeks. Showing continued development at the plate, on the bases and in the field, Weeks helped Milwaukee squeak out a thrilling, 4-3 victory against the Cubs on Opening Day at Miller Park.

Not a good week, so far, in Chicago
I love Chicago, I really do. It's a vibrant city and one of the world's best. But, it's been a bad couple of days in the Windy City.

Brewers charge into the playoffs; will face Phillies
Led by leftfielder Ryan Braun (pictured) and indomitable pitcher CC Sabathia, the Brewers defeated the Cubs, 3-1, before a sellout crowd of 45,299 Sunday at Miller Park. A few minutes later, the Mets lost to the Marlins in New York, giving the Brewers the National League wild card berth and their first trip to the playoffs since 1982.

Reader poll
Would you rather suffer through a December of sub-zero temperatures and blizzards or a first-round playoff loss at the hands of Brett Favre?
I'll take the Ice Age and a Packers win.
I'd rather see the Packers lose to Favre so I can stay warm.
This is like choosing the least painful way to die.
