Overzealous fans (and owners) hurt NBA's cause
The NBA is a game of passion. That's a big part of its attraction. But Dallas owner Cuban thinks because he has a billion dollars he has purchased the right to act like a drunken Napoleon without the white horse. The crowd in the arena sees him acting like a meth-infested freak and they think it's all right to act like that, too. His behavior as a boor gives permission to the fans of his team to act like boors as well. He is living proof that all the money in the world can't buy you civilized behavior.

El Babalu es muy bueno

East Towne makes ballroom dance success look easy
How can a small, independent dance studio survive more than a decade in downtown Milwaukee, outlasting national chains like the Fred Astaire and Arthur Murray dance studios, and growing both in square footage and students? East Towne Ballrooms makes it look easy.

Cuban whistle crisis
Forget high school players in the draft, it's wildly inconsistent zebras that pose the biggest threat to good basketball. Czabe explains what Mavs owner Mark Cuban is so peeved about.

Reader poll
Would you rather suffer through a December of sub-zero temperatures and blizzards or a first-round playoff loss at the hands of Brett Favre?
I'll take the Ice Age and a Packers win.
I'd rather see the Packers lose to Favre so I can stay warm.
This is like choosing the least painful way to die.
