Milwaukee's best Middle Eastern, 2009: Casablanca
What began as a family-owned restaurant on Mitchell Street evolved into a Brady Street emporium of Middle Eastern delights. Following in their parents' footsteps, brothers Alaa and Nasser Musa opened the second generation of Casablanca, serving traditional kabobs, falafel, stuffed grape leaves and shawarma.

Milwaukee's best lunch buffet, 2008: China Gourmet
This city is stuffed with hearty lunch buffets, but OnMilwaukee.com readers chose China Gourmet, 117 E. Wells St., as their overall favorite. For years, China Gourmet has been Downtown Milwaukee's largest Chinese buffet and that tradition continues in its new location along the river. There are at least three tables packed with food and during the busy lunch hour the food is as fresh as can be.
