Go bowling for a great cause
It's not like you should need an excuse to go bowling on a Saturday afternoon in Milwaukee, but here's one, anyway: If you can put together a team and participate in "Ape's Bowling 'Cause We Care-A-Thon" this weekend at Bay View Bowl, you'll be helping out to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

It's cold. Now what?
I've brought in the last of my plants and herbs from the yard; I've dug out my ugly fleece blankets that keep me warm while watching TV; I'm considering that janky plastic wrap stuff for my ancient and far-from-air-tight windows. It's cold out. And it's going to stay that way for longer than I'd prefer to calculate right now.

Rich bowled a 300
Exactly one year ago on Saturday, I wrote a blog titled, "Rich bowled a 298." Last night, Rich Babcock managed to avoid leaving two pins in the 10th frame, as he did last year, and improved to his first perfect game.

Rich bowled a 298
There's a guy that I bowl with on Wednesdays who did something spectacular last night. In addition to shooting a 760 series, which in the ranks of amateur bowlers, is incredibly good, Rich Babcock took a perfect game into the final roll of the 10th frame.
