Pouring predicament persists at Jazz in the Park
Jazz in the Park kicks off its 2009 season Thursday night at Cathedral Square Park. Earlier this week, a state assembly committee, prompted by Rep. Ten shots to try
It's a simple procedure ordering a shot -- "Gimme a shot of this and a shot of that." However, being in the bar should require being more adventurous than ordering a straight shot of vodka, whiskey, scotch or tequila. It's a chance to be creative.

Paisley makes Milwaukee famous in country music
Milwaukee's reputation as the world's beer capital is making a comeback, in the country music charts of all places. The chorus of Brad Paisley's song "Alcohol" from his new CD "Time Well Wasted" pays tribute to Milwaukee on what is one of the country's hottest tunes.

This Sucks: Why liquor stores close at 9 p.m.
Why should government tell you when to start and stop drinking, especially in the privacy of your own home? It depends on who you talk to, but local and state government, as well as industry experts, are hardly losing sleep over the issue.
