Gay punk rocker writes memoir
In the early '90's, Jon Ginoli started the first openly gay rock / punk band called Pansy Division. Ginoli writes about this experience in his new memoir, "Deflowered: My Life in Pansy Division." He will read from his autobiography -- and play acoustic Pansy Division songs -- at Tool Shed on Tuesday, May 26 at 7 p.m.

Recently, public school officials in Chicago requested approval for a "gay-friendly" high school because so many LGBT students miss or quit high school to avoid harassment and / or violence. Milwaukee already has a school that provides a safe environment for gay students. Is this a good idea?
