Chef-turned-travel expert Andrew Zimmern is probably best known for his adventures criss-crossing the globe as the creator and host of Travel Channel's "Bizarre Foods." His desire to gain an intimate understanding of culture through food drives his travels, and that same desire is reflected in one of his latest projects, "Appetite for Life."

Next week, Kohler will be engulfed in the delicious scents of the annual Kohler Food and Wine Experience, which has taken place every year for more than a decade. This year's event, which runs Oct. 20-23, features appearances by well-known chefs Alexandra Guarnaschelli, Jacques Torres, Charlie Trotter and Andrew Zimmern, alongside many local and regional restaurateurs, wine experts and mixologists.
