Bureaucrats must butt out of high school sports
It seems like the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association is very afraid of elite sports programs and teams. What that means, of course, is the WIAA is going to develop more rules. Just what we need.

King roster reads like state all-star team
Three of Milwaukee Rufus King's starters on its state tournament-bound boys basketball team are headed for Division 1 programs, including Troy Cotton (UW-Green Bay), Leneal Harris (UW-Milwaukee) and Mitchell Carter (South Carolina). The team seeks another title in Madison this week.

WIAA still has it wrong
The question still remains why there are two separate baseball seasons. Both sides have their reasons, but neither side have enough to not be able to compromise on one season for the benefit of the sport.
