Creative burgers, extras make Stack'd worth a stop
It seems that the culinary scene is undergoing a burger revolution of sorts, with media outlets pumping out articles on the hunt for the perfect burger, sliders cropping up on menus of restaurants large and small and a trend forming towards "gourmet" grass-fed beef. Stack'd, the burger bar at 170 S. 1st St., has found a winning combination of beef, beer and extras.

The Iron Horse Hotel rears up in Walker's Point
The Iron Horse Hotel, 500 W. Florida St., is within sight of the new Harley-Davidson Museum, but while the hotel will be a mix of chic and chrome and will cater to upscale business travelers and the leather-clad biker set -- often that's the same customer -- don't call this a biker hotel.

Alterra considers Walker's Point cafe
Alterra Coffee Roasters is considering a Walker's Point location, according to co-owner Lincoln Fowler. However, there are not any firm plans -- yet. The site being considered will soon be the new home of The Social.
