Puppet version of "The Trial" dangles absurdity in front of audience
"The Trial" is an absurdist play with a capital A, filled with strange characters propelled by incomprehensible motivations. The puppet-filled performance plays at Bucketworks until May 8.

"King Ubu" enchants X's audience
A standing ovation for opening night of "King Ubu" recognized a fabulous first performance and quite possibly forshadowed a successful 35th season for Theatre X. The show runs through Oct. 31 at the Broadway Theatre Center.

"Krazy Kat" scratches around in the black box
Theatre X will perform the world premiere of "Krazy Kat" from Thurs., May 1 through Sun., May 25. Directed by John Schneider, this new work tells the story of a dysfunctional relationship between a cat, a dog and a mouse. Even though it's based on a comic strip, sex and even death are a part of the plot.
