Soul food guide
It's amazing that one of the most despicable periods in American history inspired delicious foods like southern fried chicken, homemade macaroni and cheese, collard greens, chitlins, hush puppies, fried catfish, sweet potato pie, cole slaw and black-eyed peas. Lucky for us, Milwaukee has a few of the finest soul food restaurants in the Midwest.

Singha Thai 2 takes on Downtown
After 16 years on Highway 100 and Lincoln Avenue, Singha Thai restaurant has finally expanded its reach to Downtown. On Thursday, April 6, sisters Noi Vechsathol and Moonie Douangmala opened the second location of their family’s restaurant, distinguishing it from the first as Singha Thai 2.

Old Siam Restaurant, known for its lunch buffet, has closed its doors at the Executive Inn Hotel at 2301 W. Wisconsin Ave. and is likely to be out of business for good.
