Bunker won't let economy dampen his film work
The current economic climate might not really seem to be the time to try to raise nearly $185,000 to try and make an independent, feature-length film, but that's not stopping Milwaukee filmmaker Tate Bunker. Bunker, along with Found the Ribbon Films -- run by The Wicked Hop's Miles O'Neil -- is pounding the pavement and working the phones to finance what they call, "a high-end, low-budget, simple and captivating film to screen and sell at a major festival."

Bunker's "The Albatross" completes the "Trilogy of Light"
This Thursday, the Oriental Theatre hosts the premiere of Milwaukee filmmaker Tate Bunker's latest short, "The Albatross." Combined with two award winning recent shorts, "Perceval" and "Starlight," Bunker is calling Thursday's event the "Trilogy of Light."

Milwaukee Film shares launch event lineup
Just last week Milwaukee Film, the newly formed independent organization that will host Milwaukee's premier film festival, announced Diane Bacha as its executive director. Today it announces the lineup for its premiere event, "The Milwaukee Show," on Thursday, Oct. 23, starting at 6:30 p.m.
