Meet the Milwaukee Poetry Contest winners
OnMilwaukee.com received scads of submissions for the Fifth Annual Milwaukee Poetry Contest, but two pieces stood out from the rest. Louisa Loveridge-Gallas’ poem, “The Estate of Grace,” received first place, and Catherine Averill’s “Milwaukee: The Leaving” took second.

Artists Working in Education (AWE) presents "A Celebration of Children's Art," a collection of work created this summer by kids who participated in AWE's Truck Studio Program. There is an opening reception on Tuesday, Sept. 19 from 5 to 7 p.m.
