Wisconsin director feels some positive "Side Effects"
As Wisconsin director Kathleen Slattery-Moschkau learned last month, sometimes side effects aren't always negative. Her debut film, "Side Effects," won the award for Best of Wisconsin at the Beloit International Film Festival, held Jan. 18 through 21.

Milwaukee indie bands break into the film world
Hailed as the best soundtrack since 2004's "Garden State" by Kate Lohnes of "The Monitor," the 14-song "Side Effects" soundtrack features an eclectic melting pot of Milwaukee bands mixed with other artists from Wisconsin and across the country.

Wisconsin film director comes clean about drug industry's dirty secrets
Based on her stockpile of personal experiences as an employee under the influence of the drug industry, Wisconsin's Kathleen Slattery-Moschkau wrote and directed "Side Effects." The film opens Friday, Dec. 9 at the Ridge Cinemas in New Berlin.
