Local author publishes memoir about mother's Alzheimer's

Judith Harway is a professor of writing at the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design. Harway recently wrote a memoir called "Sundown: A Daughter's Memoir of Alzheimer's Care" that documents her personal experience with her mother's struggle with Alzheimer's. Harway will discuss and sign copies of her book on Tuesday, Jan. 13 at Boswell Book Company.


Packers, Edvest team up to keep kids reading

The "Leap into Reading" campaign begins today, and is meant to keep kids into books throughout the summer so they don't fall behind in class when school resumes. To help the initiative, the Green Bay Packers and the Edvest College Savings Plan are teaming up with Wisconsin public libraries to award ticket and saving accounts to kids who participate.

I'm not very good at lists. I read far too many books and listen to far too much music to ever successfully narrow things down to 10. But the key is to make your list without thinking too hard about it.
