Milwaukee musicians lend support for childhood cancer
In January, the Milwaukee music scene joins together to raise awareness and funds for childhood cancer at The Pablove Benefit Concert. Including sets from Fever Marlene, The Gufs, The Lackloves, Maritime, Mike Benign, Old Man Malcom, Pet Engine, and Truth in Fiction, the show pays homage to Milwaukee native Jeff Castelaz and the fight his son Pablo waged against cancer.

The saddest news I've heard in a very long time
This morning I received the saddest news I've heard in a very, very long time. And I'm not ashamed to say that it hit me hard, right here at my desk, this morning. Pablo Castelaz, the 6-year-old son of Milwaukee's Jeff Castelaz and Jo Ann Thrailkill, passed away on Saturday after battling cancer for more than a year.

CD battles childhood cancer ... Milwaukee take note
"Give Listen Help" is a double-disc set of CDs featuring rare tracks by the likes of The Decemberists, Radiohead, Oasis and more. It helps the Pablove Foundation and Childrens Hospital Los Angeles cure children's cancer. And, sadly, there's a Milwaukee connection.
