Experts on post-Katrina New Orleans education reform speak in Milwaukee

With proposed legislation under discussion to bring to Milwaukee some of the education reform efforts that affected New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, the Milwaukee Board of School Directors has invited three experts who lived through and studied the reforms there to speak in Milwaukee.


Change in attitude has Packers defense rolling

The Green Bay Packers may not have edged the Detroit Lions for the NFC North crown and earned a bye and home game this Sunday against Dallas if not for a change in attitude on defense following the team's bye week back in early November. That unit changed its course then, and it may lead to a Super Bowl run.

Rebirth Brass Band brings a taste of New Orleans to Cedarburg

The Rebirth Brass Band will perform on Friday night at Cedarburg's Summer Sounds series. The free concert takes place from 6:30 to 10 p.m. in Cedar Creek Park. Recently, chatted with trumpet player Chadrick Honore, who at 27 is the youngest player in the band.
