The Socialites keep the ska party going
From the organ-fueled rock steady of "Love Ain't Easy" to the breezy, trombone-laced early `70s-style reggae of "High and Mighty" to the uptempo ska of "So Far Away," Madison- and Milwaukee-based combo The Socialites is built on a strong foundation. The band opens for British reggae veteran Pato Banton at Shank Hall on Tuesday, April 28 at 8 p.m.

Kings Go Forth build sound on years of experience
Kings Go Forth is a band that seems to have come out of nowhere, getting noticed before even playing its first gig in Milwaukee and nabbing a pile of 88Nine Milwaukee music awards. But don't be fooled, most of these guys have been involved in the Milwaukee music scene for years.

Sweettooth fortifies its rock and roll with irony
First there was Spinal Tap. Then there was The Darkness. Now Milwaukee has a rock band that with their influences knee deep in an orgy of ladies, love, .38 Special and irony. They are known as Sweettooth.
