Milwaukee gets mobbed
David Silbaugh and Roger Jansen have been promoting, auditioning and working for months to bring MOBFest to Milwaukee. And the time is finally here. MOBFest, a Chicago original, is a one day event highlighting local and regional musical talent. A process running over the last few months, bands were globally encouraged to submit demo tapes and participate in the selection process of six significant bands.

Consoli's Italian lyrics ignore language barriers
In 2006, Sicilian singer and songwriter Carmen Consoli's album "Eva Contro Eva" went to No. 1 on the Italian pop charts, internationally hailed as Consoli's "return to her roots." Two years later, Consoli is back on tour in the U.S. and making her debut in Milwaukee at the Miramar Theater Monday night.

The Cocksmiths set sights on WAMIs
Rising from the ashes of Milwaukee acts such as Little Blue Crunchy Things and Big Dumb Dick, The Cocksmiths are Milwaukee's most dangerous rock band. They're set to perform at the WAMI (Wisconsin Area Music Industry) showcase at the Miramar Theater on Saturday, Jan. 21.
