Restored beacon recalls city's maritime history
Although its beam was once seen 23 miles out into Lake Michigan, the North Point Lighthouse has become something of a secret enveloped amid the trees of Lake Park.

Lawn bowling has long tradition at Lake Park
Similar to Italy's bocce and France's boules, Lawn Bowling came to Milwaukee in 1919, and to Lake Park in 1920. You can join the fun this summer.

Community group shines new light on an old friend
North Point Lighthouse Friends, a collaboration of members of community organizations Water Tower Landmark Trust and Lake Park Friends, is trying to raise about $750,000 to restore the Lake Park lighthouse and keepers' quarters and open them to the public.
