Coffee Trader building sale in the works
The long-vacant space at 2625 N. Downer Ave., probably best known for its years as home to The Coffee Trader and Henry’s, is being sold. The current owners are in the process of signing a contract with perspective buyers The Lighthouse Development Company.

A local landlord plans to tear down five east side homes that neighbors argue are charming and historic. He plans to replace them with an empty lot and would eventually build an apartment building. Now residents are set to challenge him at an Oct. 30 zoning meeting.
