Hank Aaron Trail moves ahead, Hank slated for Aug. 12 event
On May 26, the Natural Resource Board unanimously approved the purchase of the 5.5-mile extension of the Hank Aaron State Trail from Miller Park to the Milwaukee/Waukesha county line.

The Friends of the Hank Aaron State Trail will host its family-friendly, 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, Aug. 13 at 8:30 a.m. at Miller Park. Information booths, vendors, raffle prizes and post-race refreshments will enhance the experience.

Despite slow-downs, Aaron Trail still making progress
Although progress has slowed on the Hank Aaron State Trail, which aims to connect Lake Michigan with the Oak Leaf Trail with seven miles of paths, trail manager Melissa Cook says some progress is being made.
