The organization invites all members of the public to support Habitat's mission at the Gala on Saturday, Oct. 25, at Discovery World at Pier Wisconsin.

Facial hair fundraiser benefits local cancer care services

Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin St. Joseph's Hospital and the West Bend School District are partnering to ask men to "Be Aware! Grow Some Hair" to raise awareness for prostate and other male cancers. Money raised from the campaign will benefit the Kraemer Cancer Center at St. Joseph's Hospital.

Hunger Task Force receives $25,000 pledge from SWARMM Events

This afternoon, Hunger Task Force, Milwaukee's free and local food bank, announced a new partnership with SWARMM Events. The new partnership includes a commitment from SWARMM Events to donate a minimum of $25,000 to Hunger Task Force over the next year.

Komen Race for the Cure's local impact

The Susan G. Komen Southeast Wisconsin Race for the Cure is coming up on Sunday, Sept. 21 along Milwaukee's lakefront, and the foundation's proceeds has been making a real impact in the community for women who lack access to breast cancer screenings. For many women, awareness campaigns are still important, as are the grants to health groups that the local Komen chapter provides.
