8 questions for the Municipal Court candidates
There are two candidates -- Phil Chavez and Jennifer Havas -- vying for the Milwaukee Municipal Court bench left vacant by retiring Judge James Gramling Jr. The position is a four-year term and, according to city records, pays $127,882 per year.

I.D. needed to shop, but not to vote?
I'm not here to argue the pros and cons of Mayfair's new I.D. policy. But, I can't help but wonder why an 18 year-old now has to show an i.d. to shop but still doesn't have to vote for any elected office in our City or Country.
