Quilt, new group recognize postpartum depression
Coral Slavin, the owner of the Well-Rounded Maternity Center in Menomonee Falls, will display a "Safe Motherhood Quilt" at her birthing center in recognition of postpartum depression. A special program will take place at the center on Oct. 11. Later this month, Columbia Center in Mequon launches the only local support group for moms with postpartum depression.

Grauer finishes term as national doula president
Ann Grauer, president of Doulas of North America (DONA), will leave her post on Sept. 30. Grauer, who lives in Milwaukee, works full-time at the Birthplace at Columbia Hospital and says she plans to still volunteer for DONA.
