Every Sunday night, the bar Circa hosts a poetry/music night. From what I've heard, the poets are accessible and good.

Understated sign leads to quiet, unassuming Circa bar
Circa, neatly lettered on a white foil background, hangs above the door on 1754 N. Franklin St. And that's the only indication customers are going to get of this comfortable little bar, just a little north of Brady Street.
