Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett honors the proprietors and designers who collaborated to make 20 city sites more bold and interesting when he presents the 2006 Urban Design Awards during a ceremony today at 5:15 p.m. at UWM.

Brazil, Balzac and beyond; a host of new eateries on tap
A Brazilian steakhouse called Oscar Brazil is set to move into the former Stout Bros. site on Water Street downtown. Meanwhile, Mike Eitel will open Balzac near Brady and Casablanca will open nearby. Downtown gets brats and two more places arrive in Bay View.
