OnMedia: Christmas is coming, at least on the radio
Consider this a warning: Christmas music is likely just around the corner, although we don't yet know which stations will take the plunge this year, and just when they'll do it. Last year, two stations went all-Yule on Halloween.

Marclay challenges local DJs to create "The Sounds of Christmas"
With a collection of 1,500 albums of Christmas music, Christian Marclay, pioneer of the experimental turntable movement, is heading to the Milwaukee Art Museum (MAM) to introduce Milwaukee to his annual international party and art installation, "The Sounds of Christmas."

The James Brown "Funky Christmas" is OK, and I do like Vince Guaraldi's tunes in "A Charlie Brown Christmas," but otherwise, I'm left with an empty stocking over here.

What can she say? Singer and saxophonist Suzanne Grzanna just loves Christmas. That explains why two of her five full-length CDs -- including the latest -- are holiday affairs. "Christmas Night," released by Grzanna's own Diva Records label, has eight snow-dusted tunes.
